My client, a family office based in Gibraltar, is looking for an Accounts Assistant to work in their mature office here.
The main duties are to ensure all data is entered into the accounting records timely and accurately and assist with the preparation of regular reports as detailed below.
To be an integral member of a professional Accounts team producing high quality, accurate financial information within deadlines which can be then relied on by senior managers to manage the Treasury function and Investment Portfolio.
Responsible for but not limited to:
Daily reconciliation of bank accounts and positions.
Production of key reports below to specified deadlines.
Weekly Transaction reports
Regular Journal inputting
Reconcile Bank statements and investment positions to the accounting database
Petty cash reconciliation
Entering data onto “in-house” accounting database from online banking on a daily basis covering several banks
Reconciling bank accounts from month end statements to FPM on a monthly basis
Entering regular monthly journals into FPM
Electronic filing of documents in the agreed format
Producing various reports as outlined above using Excel
Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
Ad hoc duties connected with the accounts department and cover some office administration tasks
Key Candidate Skills
Minimum of 2 years experience working in an accounting environment and book keeping knowledge Attention to detail and accurate data input
Able to perform detailed reconciliations and resolve differences Proficient with Excel and Microsoft office
Experience of online banking would be advantageous but not essential Payroll experience, not essential but would be advantageous
Ability to liaise with staff across all levels of the business Flexible approach to work, a team player with a positive attitude
