Accounts Assistant

Job Purpose:
To assist the Accounts & Operations Manager with the Accounting and Administration of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Input and maintain accurate financial data across all systems.
- Process and reconcile bank transactions daily, including CC receipts reconciliation report.
- Arranging banking of Cash & Cheque Receipts.
- Reporting to team daily, highlighting discrepancies/unallocated funds.
- Processing expense claims, & supplier & introducer invoices & statements for payment.
- Reconciling Insurer statements for commission allocation & preparing for payment.
- Related party reconciliations & reports.
- Petty Cash Reconciliation & arranging top up.
- Reporting bi-weekly Debtors & Cashflow reports.
- Assisting brokers with reporting and analysing new business, renewals, & retention.
- Assisting with month end process, including posting journals & analysing expenses.
- Assist with compliance-related administrative tasks.
- Support systems administrator with system configuration and process improvement.
- Help identify inconsistencies or errors in data and workflows.
- Assisting with external audit queries.
- Providing clerical and administrative support to management as requested.
- Maintaining an orderly administration and accounting filing system


Ideal Candidate:
• Qualified or Part qualified AAT or equivalent.
• Two years experience in a similar role.
• Analytical mind.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Able to Work under their own initiative and within a team.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite - Excel and Outlook essential.
