Onboarding & Compliance Officer

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly authorised Payment Service Provider operating within the context of a well-established and growing group. As our Onboarding & Compliance Officer, you'll sit at the heart of the business — bringing new merchants on board while helping to maintain the high regulatory standards expected of a GFSC-authorised institution.

You'll work closely with our Head of Compliance in Gibraltar, with real scope to develop your skills and grow alongside the business.

What you'll be doing:

Managing the end-to-end onboarding of new customers, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
Carrying out AML, KYC, and customer due diligence checks, including ongoing account reviews and periodic refreshes.
Identifying and escalating potential risks in line with our compliance framework and regulatory obligations.
Providing general customer support as required, acting as a knowledgeable and friendly point of contact.
Supporting the Head of Compliance with wider compliance and operational tasks as the business grows.

About you:

Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable working to regulatory standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in payments, financial services, or a compliance/onboarding role is an advantage, though we'll consider candidates with the right attitude and aptitude.
Able to balance customer-facing warmth with the rigour that compliance work demands.
